As a sponsor and dedicated partner of the Festival, Cadillac recognizes the significance of audience participation and is returning as sponsor of the Cadillac People’s Choice Award.

Following eleven days and more than three hundred films, the Cadillac People’s Choice Award will be presented to the highest-rated film as voted by the Festival audience. The winning director of this prestigious award will receive $15,000 – generously donated by Cadillac – and will be presented with a stunning handcrafted, glass-and-crystal award designed by renowned Canadian artist Jeff Goodman.

Cadillac will also be presenting two additional awards: the Cadillac People’s Choice Midnight Madness Award and the Cadillac People’s Choice Documentary Award.

Audiences will have the chance to rank all eligible films after each screening. The winner of the Cadillac People’s Choice Award will be announced on Sunday, September 18, 2011, and a free screening of the winning film will take place that evening. In addition to the People’s Choice Award, Cadillac is the Official Ride of the Festival. Cadillac vehicles will be seen across the city escorting stars, directors and producers to their film screenings. “Cadillac, more than ever, is the design and technology leader in the luxury class. Each year the teams at Cadillac and TIFF collaborate on which vehicles will be featured during the eleven day event and which ones will make their way onto the red carpet. No Matter what the stars debut in, they’re always in style, arriving in vehicles from the CTS Family, the luxurious SRX and the Escalade Hybrid.

In honour of the performance and innovation celebrated at the Festival, Cadillac will also be offering the chance to win a Cadillac vehicle.
