Manager, Sponsorship

The Sponsorship Team is responsible for sourcing, developing and growing corporate partnerships to generate revenue opportunities for TIFF, including the Toronto International Film Festival and TIFF Bell Lightbox. 

This is a new position within the organization, specifically created to support sponsorship media initiatives as well as client account management tasks. This role requires a flexible individual as it spans a variety of disciplines, with the workload ratio determined by number and complexity of active media initiative projects. The position involves facilitating the execution of new and existing business projects within the media landscape (i.e. television, print, digital, etc.), as they pertain directly to sponsor involvement. The role will also involve ownership of sponsor client accounts from an executional, sales and relationship management standpoint.

Associate, Advancement Operations

Reporting to the Advancement Operations Coordinator, the Associate, Advancement Operations will be responsible for ongoing data entry, reporting, and system maintenance for the Advancement Department with a focus in Membership administration, processing, recognition, and reporting.

Arts Administration Intern

The Arts Administration Intern will rotate between three departments throughout their 6-month term, in 2-month intervals. The intern will support TIFF’s Special Projects, Event Production and Advancement departments. For Special Projects, the Intern will report to the Project Manager, Special Projects and will assist with administrative duties as they pertain to TIFF’s 40th anniversary as well as its Sesquicentennial project. Reporting to the Production Manager, Event Production, the Intern will provide administrative, logistical, and production support to the Event Production and associated Venue Operations teams for Festival 2015. Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Advancement Events, the Intern will be responsible for assisting with all Advancement events leading up to and during BOOMBOX, TIFF’s annual fundraising event held in TIFF Bell Lightbox.

Senior Coordinator, Advancement Events

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Philanthropy & Special Initiatives (and indirectly to the Vice President, Advancement) the Senior Coordinator, Advancement Events will coordinate a dynamic and fulsome year-long calendar of fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events for a broad array of stakeholders, including members, donor and partners.

Senior Manager, Indiv Giving & Foundations

Reporting to the Director, Government & Foundation Relations and Director, Philanthropy, the Senior Manager helps build a community of advocates, champions, and supporters for TIFF’s work. The focus of this role is leading individual giving and foundations, including fundraising appeals, grant applications, managing administration, and project proposals – with a secondary role in major gifts fundraising. The Senior Manager also supports collections donations and helps grow a culture of philanthropy within and outside of TIFF.

Production Manager (Festival Street)

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Event Production, the Production Manager (Festival Street) will be responsible for production management and site operations of programming, sponsor and partner activations in the hub of the Festival Village. This position works closely with the Festival Street Programming and Technical Production teams and will oversee a production coordinator, production staff and Volunteers.

Marketing Intern (Festival)

Reporting to the Marketing Manager (Festivals), the Marketing Intern will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with promotions, advertising and collateral production for the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. This internship is an ideal opportunity for a student or recent graduate of a marketing, or applicable degree or diploma, programme.

Cinematheque Restorations Coordinator

This shared position between Film Programmes and Adult Learning will be responsible for the programme administration of the Cinematheque Restorations and the Contemporary World Speaker Series programmes during the Festival 2015. The position is split 70/30 between the two respective departments.

Premium Ticketing Assistant, Festival

The Premium Ticketing Assistant(s), Festival are primarily responsible for managing the advance ticketing requirement for all assigned seating areas at gala/premium screenings for the three venues, Roy Thomson Hall, Princess of Wales and the Visa Screening Room. Other duties will include, but are not limited to, assisting the Ticketing Service team with event building for the Festival, documenting step-by-step processes for the Festival, assisting with quality assurance testing, and other administrative tasks as needed. This position will report into the Ticketing Systems Manager, working closely with the Senior Manager, Ticketing Services.

Sponsorship Assistant

The Sponsorship Team is responsible for developing and growing corporate partnerships to generate revenue opportunities for TIFF, including TIFF Bell Lightbox and Toronto International Film Festival. This position, reporting to an Account Manager on the Sponsorship team, will be responsible for providing overall administrative support to the Sponsorship team. It is an opportunity for an individual to develop knowledge of corporate sponsorship and major events.

This position is ideal for an individual who has a specific interest in sponsorship, festival planning and sponsor activations and logistics.

Reporting to the Manager, Patrons Circle, the Stewardship Intern will be responsible for assisting with Donor & Member stewardship activities and events leading up to and during the Toronto International Film Festival. This full-time internship is a great opportunity for a student or recent graduate of a fundraising certificate program to gain further knowledge in the fields and put into practice skills that they have learned. This is a paid internship.
