Teenage superheroes in training learn their trade at a floating high school in this witty and cheerful spoof of comic book clichés.
Young Will Stronghold (Michael Angarano), the teenage son of world-famous superhero duo The Commander (Kurt Russell) and Jetstream (Kelly Preston), has an embarrassing secret: he has yet to develop his own superpowered ability. Already feeling the pressure of living up to the family legacy, Will also has to prove himself in the most dangerous and diabolical test of all: high school. Arriving as a freshman at the floating campus of Sky High — a school dedicated to training future crime-fighters and (for those not quite up to hero status) their loyal sidekicks — Will seems destined to play second fiddle to his superpowered colleagues. But when an old nemesis of The Commander launches an attack on the school, Will and his fellow sidekicks must band together to save the day. Bright, witty and disarmingly likable, Sky High is a surprisingly delightful tongue-in-cheek spoof of comic book clichés.
