- Capacities listed do not include wheelchair spaces in Cinemas 1–5.
- Rental rates listed do not include staffing fees, equipment rentals, or event services (e.g. coat check).
- Venue License Rate discounts may apply to registered charities and non-profit organizations.
- For events requiring a tech check prior to the event date, a $700 venue licence fee, plus staffing and service costs, will apply. This rate is applicable up until 12pm; after 12pm the standard venue licence fee will apply.
- The Bell Blue Room is unavailable on Thursday and Friday evenings and all day Saturdays and Sundays.
Please note that event staff is booked for a minimum shift of 4 hours. Events scheduled on statutory holidays are subject to staffing rates at time and a half. Shifts scheduled to begin or end outside of subway hours will incur an added taxi cost of $50 per person.

Can I play DVD or Blu-Ray in your cinemas?
Yes, but please note that image resolution from a DVD or Blu-Ray may not be up to standard for displaying on our large format cinema screens.
Do you have parking onsite?
Underground parking is available at TIFF Bell Lightbox and is operated independently by Precise Park, accessible on Widmer Street at an approximate rate of $18 per day. Other parking lots and street parking are available. Valet parking can be arranged for your event also.
What is included with boardroom rental?
All of our boardrooms and Learning Studios are equipped with a projector, screen, laptop hookup and spider phone.
What is included with cinema rental?
The screen and projector within the cinema are included, but all additional audio-visual equipment and staffing are additional.
Do you have WiFi available?
Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the whole building. If you require a dedicated connection, we can provide one for you in your event space, and can also rename the WiFi network to match your event or company name so that your guests can access it more easily. Please note that these services are set at an additional cost.
Can I take a tour of the building?
Certainly! We recommend that anyone who hasn’t been to the building schedule a tour with us so we can lead you through the various event spaces and discuss onsite accommodations. We also host a number of Building Tours throughout the year. Should you wish to attend or organize a personal tour, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
What catering options are available?
Oliver & Bonacini are our onsite caterers and cater exclusively in the TIFF Lounge, Rooftop Terrace and Malaparte. TIFF Bell Lightbox also works with three outside preferred caterers: a La Carte Kitchen, Parts & Labour and 10tation. Our Concessions team can also assist by providing refreshments, light snacks and of course our delicious popcorn!
How easy is it to load equipment in to the theatre?
We have a dedicated loading dock at the rear of the building which clients can access on Widmer Street to load in for their event. TIFF Bell Lightbox was built in such a way that each cinema and boardroom can be accessed by the freight elevator with no steps involved.
How much lead time do you need for bookings?
To book a cinema, we need as much time as possible: ideally 2 months prior to the date. Bookings are also dependant on what other festivals we have taking place in the building at that time. For smaller boardroom meetings, we can generally accommodate a booking with 4 weeks prior notice. However, we encourage you to inquire about availability and hope to accommodate any last minute requests.
How many seats are in the theatres?
The capacity of each cinema varies: our smallest cinema can accommodate 41 guests, with our largest can hold up to 522 guests.
What signage can I have onsite for my event?
If your event is taking place within one of the cinemas, we can promote the name of your event on the plasma screens by the elevators and the plasma screen outside of the cinema you rented for your event time. We can supply directional signage in the main lobby and on the floor of your event; should you wish to bring your own, you are limited to two pieces stationed outside of your rented event space. Please note that any display of event sponsors will need to be approved prior to being placed in the public areas.
Can I bring in my own refreshments for a small business meeting?
We have a number of catering options that are able to provide food service for a wide range of price points. However, exceptions can be made for specific cultural food requests, please note a landmark fee will apply. Please speak to your Event Coordinator for more information.(please see: Catering section).
