The dust has long since settled and the red carpets have been rolled up and stored for another year. TIFF 07 is done, but believe it or not, preparations for TIFF 08 are already underway! Today I just got confirmation that one of the first submissions for Midnight Madness 2008. Will it be selected for 2008? We'll just have to see...
This year we managed to catch most of the introductions and Q&As for the films in Midnight Madness and I have had the lucky task of reviewing and editing all the footage to pop up online for everyone to see. Okay, okay, I know its been a few months since we stopped recording, but its been a crash course in iMovie for me, hence the slowness in getting it up. In the next few posts are going to be edited highlights of some of the action that happened on the red carpet and on the stage of The Ryerson for 10 days in September. Luckily there has already been video coverage of the events thanks to dutiful video bloggers
Sanjay and
Shelagh. And to date, between the posting on our YouTube page and hers, the
DIARY OF THE DEAD montage has been seen by over 7000 people! Or least we think they were real living, breathing people...! The video content in the postings to come are courtesy of the hard work by TIFF bloggers Shane McNeil who manned camera number one and Darryl Shaw, who swooped in to save us with some of his guerilla audience footage!
